The client’s brief:
GFA were employed by AR&V Properties Ltd to design and manage the renovation of two new houses in Hammersmith, London. The houses were in very poor condition and had been used for decades as offices. The client’s brief included adding a rear extension; converting a loft and building a new basement.
Architect’s response to the brief:
GFA completed a full redesign of the interiors including new arrangement of interior spaces; colour schemes, lighting, stone, tile and timber floor selection with integration of sound and security systems. The project included new mechanical and electrical systems including underfloor heating for bathrooms and the main living spaces.
Completed Project:
Two renovated period properties side by side with modern stylish interiors and renovated exteriors for family living. Planning permission and building control approval were obtained and the project was successfully completed in 2013. The houses have been sold for record prices in Brook Green, London.
